Conrad is a tech and team leader with a broad experience in the industry, while being a software architect and software developer by heart. But he had to learn, that projects go wrong mostly not on a tech level, but more on a method, process, business, or people level. Hence his interest in these topics grew and he focused on becoming a lateral leader to make projects successful. He is working currently as the Director of Engineering at Clariness GmbH and holds a masters degree in IT-Systems-Engineering.

He gathered his professional experience in the consulting industry and in product development in diverse IT projects with a focus on software architecture and full-stack software development in Java and JavaScript based on microservices architectures, container and cloud technology. He is always striving for new knowledge in the IT industry to leverage the business benefit for his customers.

Work Experience
09/2019 - Present/
Director of Engineering
Clariness GmbH, Berlin, Germany

As a Principal Consultant, I was in a lateral leadership role and co-responsible with the branch manager for the financial success of the Berlin branch. Hence my responsibilities included activities in sales, pre-sales, being a client liaison in ongoing projects, advisor and mentor for projects and team members, after-sales client care, pushing and shaping topics locally and in the company. Personally, I can directly attribute a yearly 7 digit revenue to my overall activities.

Furthermore, I actively supported and shaped the development of the team, either through recruitment activities; organising internal events, training, and other activities or hands-on software development.

Tech stack:

* Frontend: React (Typescript)

* Backend: Java, Spring Boot

* Infrastructure: AWS

07/2018 - 08/2019/
Principle Consultant
codecentric AG, Berlin, Germany

As a Business Development Manager, I build up the partnership with AWS from a standard level to an advanced level. Activities included knowledge building in the company, developing a go-to-market strategy, building partner and client relationships, organizing and managing marketing activities (which included multiple webinars and cloud events), sales and pre-sales activities regarding AWS topics and managing client engagements. In the first year, our revenue for AWS business grew to 7 digit numbers.

A special topic in that regard were portfolio items, focused on Digital Innovation. Hence I developed with our partner UX&I multiple offerings focused on innovation and digitization topics. The focus was on integrated user experience (UX/UI) and software development offerings to develop MVP's.
